The State of Nevada offers scholarships intended to help pre-service and in-service educators with their career goals. These scholarships are designed for students with varying needs and circumstances. Are you a recent high school graduate, hold a bachelor's degree in a non-education related field, or currently teaching in a Nevada public school and would like to advance your career? The State of Nevada wants to invest in you!

- Q: When can I expect to hear back about my application?
- A: After you apply, your application will be reviewed, but you will only be notified if there are any issues with your application that need to be addressed. Please continue to check the email address you included in your application for communication. Before the semester begins, an update will go out to all applicants with further information about the scholarship and how it will be distributed.
- Q: How do I know if there are problems with my application and/or I am ineligible for the scholarship?

- Q: Do I have to apply each semester to continue receiving the scholarship?
- A: Yes, you must apply each semester to continue receiving the scholarship.
- Q: When will I the scholarship be disbursed to my account?
- A: There are numerous approval processes that must be completed before these scholarships can be disbursed. This generally occurs after the semester has begun and can take weeks or months to complete. While waiting on the completion of the approval process, your account will be protected to prevent late fees and being dropped from classes.

Teach Nevada Scholarship (TNS)
- The TNS covers up to 75% of tuition and fees per semester.
- Students may receive the remaining 25% after working as a teacher in a Nevada school five years following graduation and meeting State Board Education requirements.
- Eligibility: Students should have graduated from a Nevada high school and in Fall 2025 be either a freshman, sophomore, or junior enrolled in a teacher preparation program (early childhood, elementary, secondary, or special education) or Master’s degree students who will be student teaching after the 25-26 academic year. Additionally, students must be registered in one or more degree program courses to receive this scholarship.
Incentivizing Pathways to Teaching (IPT)
- This scholarship covers up to 100% of tuition and fees per semester.
- Eligibility:
- Student Teaching/Apprentice Teaching in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026.
- Agree to maintain employment in a Nevada public school for five (5) consecutive years.
- Agree to complete an endorsement in English as a second language or special education (may be completed after graduation).
Nevada Teacher Advancement Scholarship (NTAS)
- The NTAS covers up to 75% of tuition and fees per semester.
- Students may receive the remaining 25% after continuing as a teacher in a Nevada school three years following graduation and meeting State Board Education requirements.
- Eligibility: Must be a licensed teacher who has taught at least two years within the last five years and enrolled in a master’s degree program in an education related field.
